On my mind... I make these flowers which I call gardenia because they look like them.
I decided to do a tutorial so you can see how I stamped the fabric and made a cool effect.
Sorry I did not edit my pics so they might be dark :(
stamp cut fabric strips for flower
Fold up and cut top half to make a rounded shape on the top (cut the whole top, I only cut hald in this picture
Then gather the stamped and cut fabric
Now glue the fabric on a strip of cloth of circle of felt. Start in the center and go round and round
Aall done, arn't they purty! Try it out and make some different designs.

New Mini Shabby Chic bags!
I am so happy that I finally made some mini bags for my cell phone. When my daughter saw it she wanted one too. A customer on Etsy mentioned that she might like one so I started to make a few and have now placed them on Etsy. I tried to make one with a zipper but it was too hard due to the small size of the bag.
funny thing, when I was editing the pics a huge rain came down and right outside my window was a huge rainbow!
Take a look~
On my mind...
I wanted to make a wallet for myself and found several patterns in the Internet.
a cute one was http://www.bugfabric.com/patterns.htm
but I wanted to have a larger size which is about 4" x 6"
so I ended up making a few of my own.
Because I live in Hawaii, many of the crafts and fabric have an Asian style. I did make a few to represent that style.
Musical fabric with a music charm
shabby chic lace and roses
all wallets open with a metal snap
This one is more elegant with gold and antique blue satin fabric
I chose this one, pink, bling and roses!
This one is so pretty with the gold leaves. the back has a large golden moon with gold glitter fabric, very rich
This fabric is light pink/peach with pretty roses and leaves, I added tiny pearl trim and lace which is topped off with the lovely rose
This silver/ Grey dragonfly has bling trim and cherry blossom pockets. very nice
all my wallets have 2 pockets and the top has a secret opening!
On my mind...
Mother's Day is bitter sweet. I love my mother but am unable to spend time with her as she lives so far from Hawaii. To show my affection, I decorated this old box and created a clip flower and cuff.
I hope she likes it!
Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there!
I loved the youtube post by Jennings44 on how to create pearl bling centers. (Shabby Chic Pearl Flower Tutorial) ~ sorry I don't know how to link the video yet :(
However when I tried it was very hard for me to cut the pearl strands into small strips and glue all the large pearls together. I found a short/ fast way to achieve similar results and I wanted to share it with you.
First I cut large pearl strands into 5-6 pearl lengths.
I then glue the ends together to create a pearl circle.
Next I cut strips of tiny pearls from their strands (about6-7 inches) and I hot glue one end to a space between the large pearls, facing the strip over the space going from front to back. I then loop/ thread the large pearl circle with the tiny peal strip. when I get to the end, I glue it to where I started.
I am working on some new headbands for little girls which are inspired by my little Tutu dresses I make.
I have found that blogging and crafts overall is very challenging and time consuming but also a whole new experience. I hope to get the "hang" of the multi-tasking and grow while learning. I hope you enjoy them ~Aloha and Take Care~
There is just something about the sunshine that makes me feel happy. It has been so rainy and cloudy for the past month or so but this weekend was so sunny that I got to sit in the sun and get re-energized. I hope everyone had a great week-end. Beside sun bathing I made this little gold, cream and green shoulder sling tote. It looks like it is "sun kissed" ~he, he, he
